Dell Technologies has refined its ESG goals to focus on nine key areas, including achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, reducing GHG emissions from purchased goods and services by 45% by 2030, and ensuring that 100% of packaging is made from recycled or renewable materials by 2030. Additionally, Dell aims to improve 1 billion lives through digital inclusion by 2030.
How is Dell addressing climate change?
Dell is actively working to address climate change by improving product energy efficiency, utilizing sustainable materials, and integrating renewable energy sources. In FY23, 59% of electricity used across Dell's global facilities came from renewable sources, and the company has kept 39.2 million plastic bottles out of the ocean since 2019 by using ocean-bound plastic in its products.
What initiatives does Dell have for digital inclusion?
Dell has made significant strides in digital inclusion, reaching over 288 million people since 2013 through various programs. Notably, the Digital LifeCare program has enrolled over 238 million individuals in India.
